What to do if you find a stray dog or cat
Take it to a vet to check if it is micro chipped. If it is, this will give the identity number and the owner can then be traced.
Ensure the dog is abandoned. If it has only been around for a few hours and not days, it is quite possible it is just on walkabouts and will return home when ready.
Abandoned dogs often appear perplexed. They are often starving and in poor condition.
Can you help by caring for the dog or cat while we support by advertising?
Is it listed in our lost and found section? ... Or the list of other charities?
If you live in the Safor region of Spain and your adjumente has a contract with S.P.A.M.A., we will collect the animal and care for it.
